Harold J. Otterbeck graduated magna cum laude from New York University in 1974. He received his Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 1977.
He has been engaged in the general practice of law since 1977, and has represented countless business entities and individuals over the years.
He was employed on the New York State Assembly staff and the United States Congressional staff of the Honorable Guy V. Molinari, former New York State Assemblyman, United States Congressman, and Borough President of Staten Island. He was the law partner of the Honorable Guy V. Molinari for approximately 12 years from 1980 through 1992.
Harold J. Otterbeck has been a member of the Richmond County, New York State and American Bar Associations from 1977. He has been involved with, and represented, various civic and business organizations through the years. He was general counsel to the Building Industry Association of New York City, Inc., and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bucks Business Network, Inc.
He was a National Merit Scholar; designated a University Scholar upon admission to New York University; and received the "Founders Day Award" for scholastic achievement upon graduating New York University. He was selected to write for the Annual Survey of American Law while at New York University Law School, and had his paper published in their 1977 Compendium. He received the "Good Scout Award" from the Staten Island Council of Boy Scouts in 1992.
